A 64-year-old Butler man was killed Halloween Morning while he was waiting to turn out of a driveway in Upper Mount Bethel Township, Pa. when another vehicle struck him, according to a report by the Express-Times.
George Townsend was waiting to turn onto Mount Bethel Highway in his 1998 Ford Ecoline when a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Daniel Kulig, 18, of Bangor, Pa. drifted across the road and struck Townsend's vehicle at 9:08 a.m., police said.
Kulig, traveling northbound on the road, told police he had taken his eyes off the highway to reach for something and then swerved into the southbound lane, crashing into the other vehicle.
Services for George will be held Thursday Nov. 12th --6-9pm at Morrison Funeral Home in Butler, NJ.
